Course Description

Blended Delivery: two synchronous connections per week and three asynchronous classes per week.
E-learning Center courses are provided tuition-free to S.D. public schools. This course is created and delivered by a South Dakota certified teacher.

Consumer Mathematics reinforces general mathematics topics (such as arithmetic using rational numbers, measurement, percent, ratio and proportion, and basic statistics) and applies these skills to consumer problems and situations. Major concepts in this course include managing personal income, taxation, buying and selling products and services, pricing and discounting products and services, consumer and business credit, interest, banking services, insurance, home ownership, and investment.
