This is a new class designed to bring about an awareness of the South Dakota Native culture under the OCETI -Sakowin standards as well as the South Dakota State Visual Art standards. Each lesson pertains to the rich traditions and customs of the native culture in South Dakota. Through each lesson students research stories, famous people, and places in South Dakota. The class is designed to create various projects using art to express the way of life for Native Americans of the Dakotas.
