Course Description

Description: This course is designed to familiarize students with some major periods in history. It will guide students to examine works of art in certain time periods. The class will view a variety of approaches to time periods, but focus on understanding their aesthetic and historical significance as well as their social relevance in the world.
Students will explore certain artists and the contributions they have placed in many areas of history. Art history should provide a means in which we understand our past works and the art work that relates to our future.
Students will be required to have the following course materials: poster board, magazines, scissors, glue sticks, #2 drawing pencils.
