Course Description
Earth Science, S2 is a laboratory course that explores the origins and connections between the physical, chemical, and biological processes of the earth system. In this second semester, the instructional focus is on meteorology and astronomy. Through direct instruction videos, vocabulary activities and lab demonstrations, students will learn about earth’s atmosphere, weather, and climate. Students will also learn about the sun, our moon, solar systems, stars, and galaxies. Student understanding will be assessed through interactive lab exercises, quizzes, and tests. The online course also includes audio resources that can "read" content to students along with 17 different language translation options. This course is taught by a South Dakota based teacher.
