This course is to provide a general background of economics and how money and other valuables can be saved, invested, or spent. Some of the key concepts will be credit, taxes, money management, budgets, investments, banking, consumer purchasing, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, insurance, living expenses, and real estate. Many of these ideas will be introduced to help students prepare for independent living and making monetary decisions that are in their best interest.
