Course Description
Math 600, S1 is the first course in a two-semester sequence. Students utilize various mathematical skills learned in the elementary grades as they investigate new topics. Major concepts in this course include: understanding ratios and rates, applying ratios and rates, multi-digit computation, dividing fractions, percentages, and extending the number system.. The online course also includes audio resources that can "read" content to students along with 18 different language translation options. Students will take a diagnostic pre-assessment prior to beginning each lesson and do not need to re-take those lessons where they demonstrate the ability to meet standards. This course is offered as a credit recovery option with teachers located in South Dakota.
