Course Description
Integrated Math III (S1) is the first course in a two-semester sequence. This course develops students’ skills in interpreting statistical data and broadens their understanding of various functions. Major concepts in this course include: samples and probability distributions, normal distributions, operations with polynomials, rewriting polynomials and using structure, roots of polynomial functions, graphs of polynomial functions and geometric series, rational and radical equations, trigonometry of general triangles and the unit circle, and trigonometric functions and modeling.
The online course also includes audio resources that can "read" content to students along with 18 different language translation options. Students will take a diagnostic pre-assessment prior to beginning each lesson and do not need to re-take those lessons where they demonstrate the ability to meet standards. This course is offered as a credit recovery option with teachers located in South Dakota.
