Course Description
The overall goal of this course is to provide students that are interested in the health care field a broad and comprehensive understanding of the unique language of medical terminology.
Regardless of what area of health care students are interested in working or pursuing, it is essential to understand the terminology of medicine. Common medical terminology is a critical part of the language used by health-care practitioners.
This on-line course will provide students with medical terminology training that will allow them to analyze and interpret medical words related to specific body systems, identify medical terms and words by their component parts, define the body structure and its function, and explain the importance of medical terminology in health-care professions.
