Course Description
Who is the greatest artist of all time? Leonardo da Vinci? Claude Monet? Michelangelo? Pablo Picasso? Is the greatest artist of all time someone whose name has been lost to history? Students will learn about some of the greatest artists while also creating art of their own, including digital art. The course explores the basic principles and elements of art, how to critique art, and how to examine some of the traditional art of the Americas, Africa, and Oceania in addition to the development of Western art.Course will be offered August 15, 2020-July 15, 2021
