School Responsibilities

To participate in the South Dakota Center for Virtual Education, a school district/attendance center must complete a School Agreement. Email DOESDvirtualEducation@state.sd.us to request a School Agreement.

Schools are responsible for registering their students in South Dakota Center for Virtual Education courses and for providing support to students taking virtual courses.

Once a school has registered a student, the course provider will notify the school via email whether the registration has been accepted. While each Virtual School course has an instructor, the student's school is responsible for monitoring student progress. The course provider will assign the student's grade; however, the school will assign the credit.
